From the Classroom to the Studio: Explore NMSA with Our NEW ArtsConnect Community Tours
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our newest initiative, ArtsConnect Community Tours, designed to bring the vibrant world of NMSA closer to our community. Starting on September 19th, these engaging tours will take place on the third Thursday of every month at 3:30 pm, right here at our NMSA campus. To reserve your spot, please register here.
What to Expect on the Tours
Our ArtsConnect Community Tours offer a unique opportunity to get an inside look at NMSA’s dual academic and arts curriculum and learn more about our students who join us from over 40 communities and Pueblos across the state.
Each tour will be a comprehensive experience that includes:
History and Facts: Learn about the rich history of NMSA, from its founding to its present-day achievements. Discover key facts and statistics that highlight our school’s impact and success over the years.
Arts Programming Showcase: Get an up-close look at our diverse arts programming, including Theatre, Visual Arts, Music, Creative Writing and Literature, and Dance. See firsthand the dedication and talent of our students as they engage in their artistic pursuits.
New Residential Building Tour: Explore our state-of-the-art residential facility that provides a home away from home for nearly 60 students from all over New Mexico. This tour includes insights into how our residential program supports students’ academic and artistic growth.
Meet Our Leaders and Staff: The tours will be led by our dedicated NMSA Art Institute staff, including Cindy Montoya, President, and Becky Anderson, Director of Advancement. You will also have the chance to meet our Artistic Director, Sarah Pfisterer, members of our Board of Directors, Arts Department Chairs, and most importantly, see our students in action.
