Student Art on Display: Don’t Miss Our All for One Exhibition Opening

Don’t Miss All for One — Our First Student Art Show of the Year
Join the Visual Arts Department for the public opening reception of our first student exhibition of the year, All for One on Friday, September 20, from 5-7 pm in the Thaw Visual Arts Gallery at NMSA. In All for One, each student creates an original work using the media and message of their own choosing upon the unifying aspect of the exhibition, an 8″ x 8″ wood panel. Select works will be available for purchase at $100 per panel.

Art in Nature: Visual Arts Department Visits Los Luceros
Each fall, the Visual Arts Department embarks on In the Field, a day of nature-inspired workshops that connect students with the beauty and history of New Mexico. This year, we’ll explore the Los Luceros Historic Site, where students will participate in teacher-led workshops on bookmaking, landscape photography, drawing and painting, and nature hikes guided by Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC). The day will also include apple picking, meeting farm animals, and wading in the Rio Grande, making for a truly immersive and creative experience.
